LaWanda J. Williams, Esq.
A Long Island native, Cornell and Emory-trained attorney, and minister — with a quarter century of practice in education law, personal injury, and wrongful death litigation.

From Lakeview to the Long Island bar.
LaWanda was born and raised in Lakeview, Long Island, and attended Malverne High School, where she graduated at the top of her class. She went on to Cornell University, earning her undergraduate degree in 1997, and then to Emory Law School.
Upon graduation, LaWanda began her career in insurance defense before joining the Wall Street firm of Conway, Farrell, Curtin & Kelly, P.C., where she served as General Counsel and Labor Counsel for school districts on Long Island.
She then brought her deep expertise in education law to one of Long Island's leading education law firms, where she was elevated to Partner in 2025 — before opening the doors of her own practice, dedicated to the same institutions she has served for more than two decades.
LaWanda is also a Minister, having received her Min. Div. from Columbia University's Union Theological Seminary. She is a member of Zion Cathedral, and her ministry informs the ethic of service she brings to every matter she takes on.
"The law is a discipline of care. My clients deserve counsel that treats their trust as sacred."
A record of rigor and service.
